onverrichter zake... - Straight back home...

terug naar huis...  Vandaag binnen voor de chemo, maar voor de eerste keer overkomt het ons dat haar bloedwaarden niet goed genoeg zijn om te starten (rode 7,4; plaatjes 25).  De lage bloedwaarden op de controle van 2 dagen terug waren al een indicatie, maar met die waarden hadden ze ons ironisch genoeg wel laten starten, en nu, al 2 dagen later dan normaal voorzien, mogen we terug naar huis.  Wel nog even een biefstuk-transfusie om toch terug wat zuurstof rond te kunnen krijgen in het lichaampje.  Maandag doen we een nieuwe poging...  Wel jammer want dat wil zeggen dat we 5 dagen minder recup krijgen tussen chemo en operatie...
Ander, goed nieuws is dat ze door flink eten toch meer dan een halve kilo bij is gekomen. Go SuperSofie!

No chemo today.  for the first time it happens to us that her bloodlevels are not good enough to get chemo.  We already had an indication from the check up on Monday, but ironically, they would have started with those levels.  Now, 2 days later even than is the normal schedule, we have to wait until Monday.  She gets a blood transfusion to get some extra blood to help transport the oxygen through her little body.  A pity that we can only start on Monday as it gives us 5 days less to rest before the surgery...
Other, good news is that she did gain more than half a kilo because she ate really well the last few days.  Go super Sofie!
